For my project I wanted to create a informational video that promotes some simple ways for to improve health. I wanted a grasping start, so I chose a time lapse video to show the time. The inspiration for this kind of video came from some videos that I have watched in the past of daily video vlogs that goes through their daily lives. I thought this style would fit into the one to two minute video time we were given. I wanted to show some easy and short workout and stretches that anyone could put into their daily routines to promote health. I started to think of some of the most beneficial activities to help get the body ready and came up with some very simple ones. This is by no means a perfect routine to follow for every person as everyone is different. This is just an overview or a basic template to help people think of other activities that they can do that are more suited to their needs. I wanted to make an interesting video, so I played around with the transitions. I feel like the transitions I did enhance the overall video and allows it to flow in such a way that is visually pleasing. I want to add some music or sounds to my video before the final is due, I couldn’t find any license free that I thought fit into the video so for now its pretty bland in the audio department. All videos and pictures shown in this draft are collected and shot by me so they may not be the best, but they are mine. That being said I had to find the right settings so that my imports were not scaled weirdly when I did import them into premier this was the main software challenge I faced.
Hello, Kyler! The first thing that I noticed was that some kind of melody would be perfect for your video. Your talking and voice are really nice, but the pauses between your sentences are way too long. That is why I suggest you to add some kind of music on the background so the whole audio side would be more complete. I feel like a nice piano melody would fit perfectly with your opening scene time lapse. The second thing that I would change or fix are how the pictures are changing. Right now it just feels like a basic picture presentation. I think that my favorite part of the video was the beginning. The part when you waited like 2 seconds before you started talking. It seems like a great motivation video. I have nothing else to say to you. So good luck and hopefully you will find a nice melody for your story!

Hi Kyler, I think that your video story has a very good idea behind it, however, there are definitely a few things I think you could add to make the video smooth much better and look a lot more complete. I think that adding a nice little acoustic or melody in the background of your narration would be extremely beneficial because as of right now there are some long pauses in between what you’re talking about. Also, I think that adding some transitions in between the pictures would also just cause the video to flow much smoother and give the story a more complete feel to it. I really liked the beginning with the cars and your narration, as it was a nice opening to the story and allowed the story to be very relaxing and motivational.

Hi Kyler!
You draft video story was great and very fun to watch. I loved the time lapse video at the start to show the time, it flowed together well and was pleasing to watch. I am also doing something similar because my blog is about my fitness journey so it’s cool to see someone else’s spin on it! I would agree that adding some background music or sound would make it even better, that is probably the one thing I would say you would need to improve on out of everything. Other than that, this draft is great, and you will only need to make a few minor changes to make this an amazing final draft. Keep up the good work!

You have a great start to this project right now Kyler! I really like your idea of using the time lapse in the video. I think that is a really amazing idea that works very well within your whole video. I do think though that the addition of a music track in the background could do a lot to improve the video you currently have. I don’t think the music you find should be anything overpowering or over the top. Something simple and more relaxed and a bit on the quieter side I think would work perfectly to fill the background and some of the longer pauses within your video. I really love the way your video opens but I think adding a bit of a fade into that first clip could improve it just a little more. I also think you should look into different transitions between each of the photos and video clips you have just to really streamline and refine the video.

Reading the criticisms of my peers has brought a lot of ideas on how to make my video better. A lot of people commented on the time lapse video being a neat so that’s reassuring to hear. I also received a lot of feedback to put in some kind of music into the video so that there isn’t points that have no audio at all which will improve the flow of the video. I feel like I have a good draft and just need to make a few changes so that the video has a better flow. I am going to work on the transitions a lot more and get a nice flow to the video. I am looking forward to editing and fixing up my draft and transforming it into a more smoothed out rendition. This project was fun and very informative, and I am having a lot of fun creating the video and was relived to see that my peers liked the video as well.
